Gameplay

Striker League is the next generation of Web3 gaming. It combines high-production-value multiplayer gaming with Solana blockchain technology, NFTs, and decentralized finance to deliver a fast and exciting, turn-based, play-and-earn soccer game that’s easy to learn yet hard to master. Score goals, complete missions, and win matches to earn rewards in MonkeyBucks $MBS, the main in-game currency. Centered around tiered Leagues, complete more missions, win more matches and League-up to earn higher rewards.

A cross between FIFA Street and Chess, the game is played with Striker League Monkey NFTs owned by the game's players. Monkey NFTs, along with eleven Appearance traits, are born with four core game Skills and stats for each, as well as twelve game Perks, or boosters.

Core Game Skills:

  • Passing

  • Accuracy

  • Defense

  • Control

Players build their ultimate team of four Monkeys to fill the positions of the Striker, Midfielder, Defender, and Goalie. Although Monkeys can be played in any position, they each have a best-suited position once their game Skills reach their maximum potential through improvement in gameplay.

Expected to be 3-5 minutes long, matches are played between two teams and consist of several rounds. A round finishes when the two teams complete their turns. In a turn, each team is able to perform three moves (the number of moves per turn is still being finalized) and these moves should be strategically planned.

On offense, you can move a player to another quadrant, pass the ball, swap places with a teammate, hold the ball, or shoot the ball. Within some of these moves, there can be several types. For example, a Pass can be done on the ground or in the air.

On defense, you can apply extreme Pressing, intercept a Pass or Dribble, or attempt a Tackle.

Some moves performed go unopposed while actions taken in a zone that has opposing team players in it can be challenged. For example, if a Striker takes a shot on goal on the opposing team's side of the field, that MonkeyPlayer's Accuracy stat level is put up against the Goalie's Defensive stat level. But there is also the Luck Factor intertwined to encourage the underdog, meaning, a random number is then selected between 0 and the Striker's Accuracy stat and 0 and the Defender's Defense stat and the higher number wins the challenge. This happens automatically in real-time. Challenges can happen in a range of situations such as when trying to dribble through an opponent, transitioning flanks, and passing, just to name a few.

Game Skills can be improved through gameplay and Game Perks are a fixed boost to certain game actions.

is Matches cost Energy and Monkeys won't be able to be played in endless matches. They have Stamina and Health Point levels that need to be boosted and restored after playing several consecutive matches. Stamina is boosted and HP restored with Nutritional and MedCare items purchased in the in-game store using MonkeyBucks ($MBS).

Play in Three Modes:

  • Player vs Environment: training mode to increase your Monkey’s overall abilities

  • Player vs Player: the classic 4v4 match where each player controls his entire team

  • Team vs Team: a match in which each team is being controlled by multiple players

All multiplayer games will be played in stadiums and watched by spectators.

Stadium owners are rewarded for each game they host, while spectators influence the gameplay by rooting for a team and increasing the team’s morale.

When a game is finished, the in-game currency token, MonkeyBucks ($MBS), is split and distributed among the winning team (75%), the Stadium owner (15%), and the spectators who have rooted for the winning team (10%).
